Approachability is only partly about the words that you use. Sometimes your body language has more impact, but we are often unaware of it, and you can be sending cues inadvertently. Here are three things to bear in mind. First, the one which perhaps gets the most attention is eye contact. We know it's important. We are biologically and culturally programmed to consider it significant. But there is a current impediment, and that's your mobile phone. Frequently nowadays, people are looking down and checking messages or shutting off alarms or surfing the world wide web, even if people are speaking to them. Your eyes will be the sweetest tell about where your attention really is. People notice, and if you are distracted and looking elsewhere, they will detect and oftentimes feel insulted consequently. Following that, there is your smile, or lack thereof. A genuine smile is a clear indication of warmth, but it is also something you can not pretend, and if you have a fake smile plastered on your face, that can often lead people to see you as inauthentic.

I think it was Woody Allen who said, 90% of success is just showing up. Now, I don't know whether this percentage is true but whatever the amount is, you can bumpit up a couple of percentages by doing some extra things in, in the way you appear, right? So, show up with a few with certain degree of confidence in your own body language. Bring a positive attitude. Smile have a small amount of positive energy. Speak up, right? Give them a small amount of eye contact. Be excited to be there. Now, I am not saying, of course, that you ought to be arrogant. But also, on the other hand do not be apologetic. They said yes, they wanted the assembly, you deserve to be there you belong there, act like it. Now, second in regards to the way you conduct yourself at the meeting. You would like to have prepared and prioritized the top questions that you would like to inquire to the senior person. Get that ready to go, long ahead of time. And even it may be helpful to rehearse that little bit to prevent the silent Shawn syndrome. When I say top questions, let us talk about specifically what sort of questions.
